Mr Brown leaves for Wellington

Mr Brown is leaving Victory Primary School until the start of 2013.

Mr Brown is going to Wellington to be Chief Advisor to Schools and Community for the Ministry of Education, which means he will give advise to the Government, visit different places, talk to lots of different people and get people to understand the things that make schools run better.

He is looking forward to it but "it might stretch my brain a bit," he said.

Mr Brown is going to live in an apartment three stories up and only 100 metres from the Beehive.  He will be returning to Nelson in the weekends.

While he is in Wellington he hopes to see Te Papa, go to lectures at Victoria University, explore the city (eating places!) and visit places outside of Wellington.

Mr Brown said he will miss Victory Primary School and the fun things that happen here. While he is away he will  keep in contact by sending postcards, e-mails and Skyping, which he is just learning to use.

For the the rest of 2012 Mrs Taylor will be acting as Principal  and Mr Sullivan deputy Principal.
