The Dance Group

This is the dance group. They are practicing the song Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams . The dance looks really fun to do.

They could preform it at assembly but the odds are 50-50. So next time you go to assembly there is a chance that you will see the dance group dance.

Fifi Colston

Fifi Colston came to Victory Primary School and showed the students how to make things out of recycling. She showed five classes the things that she made out of cups, tin foil, recycled bottles, paper and she showed them her books and the really cool costumes that where in her books.

She has written or illustrated some really cool books: Verity's Truth, Wearable Wonders, The Red Poppy, and many more.

Matua Scott

This is Matua Scott. He is our new caretaker. He started in the middle of term 2.
He cleans, looks after the toilets and the grounds. Matua Scott said he loves his job.

Salmon in the Library

Like last year Mr Science brought in some salmon  into the library. Two people from Room 11 are looking after them by testing and cleaning the water and feeding them.

Almost every Thursday two new people get trained to test and feed them. First they started off as little red ball's then fish that did not look like salmon and they had a red sack. The sack had food in it for them.

Next they turn into thing's that look more like salmon with faint black stripes. Now they look even more like salmon with darker stripes. They look sliver shiny and much better with the stripes.

Dragon Fruit

A while ago Room 11 tasted dragon fruit. When it still had its skin on it looked like a pineapple but red. When it was cut open it looked like a egg but a egg that is slimy and white with little black dot's! I think it did not taste like much but some people thought it did.

It come's from Vietnam and the plant is related to the cactus.

Tree Planting

The senior syndicate got their boots muddy when they went tree planting. It was really fun and there was no way to keep yourself clean. Once they did what felt like 50 plants they had some morning tea.

After that they planted another 50 more. Just after they did the second lot of plants they got to have lunch. For lunch they had New Zealand hot dogs.

Finally they went back to school just as lunch ended and were very very tired.
